Daniel Sousa was an agent of the SSR in the years following World War II. During the war, he was shot in the leg, giving him a limp. Unlike the other agents at the SSR's New York City branch, Agent Sousa did not dismiss Agent Peggy Carter's abilities as an agent because she is a woman.
