Synopsis for "Shadowland (Part 1)"

Dakota North, Foggy Nelson, and Becky Blake are in shock watching security footage Dakota’s obtained of Daredevil killing Bullseye on the roof of the Javits Center earlier that night. Foggy says he has to go to Shadowland to talk some sense into Matt. Dakota decides to go with him.

Daredevil is patrolling Shadowland when he encounters White Tiger and a group of Hand ninjas. White Tiger tells her “lord” that Shadowland’s perimeter is secure. She also recommends that he send Black Tarantula to South America so that he can get his footing as Daimyo there, but Daredevil says he needs all of his lieutenants in New York until The Hand’s new mission as protectors is more secure.

While Detective Kurtz leaves home for his first shift with his new precinct, Daredevil and a group of ninjas interrupt a robbery in an alleyway. They brutally beat the would-be thieves and hang them by their ankles from a street lamp.

Dakota and Foggy are debating the merits of Matt’s strategy as they drive down 8th Avenue. Foggy wonders if it’s actually working, but Dakota rebuffs him and points out that all of the criminals just moved a few blocks down out of Hell’s Kitchen. They come upon a barricade built of broken down cars that marks the edge of Shadowland and are about to turn back when White Tiger appears. She tells them “Lord Daredevil” doesn’t want to see them. Foggy asks her to tell Matt that the Kingpin was the one “turning the screws” on them.

Within Shadowland, Daredevil collapses in pain and his mind is overtaken by The Beast.

As Dakota and Foggy are driving away, Dakota’s tire is shot out by an arrow, causing the car to flip. Dakota drags Foggy from the wreckage and sees they are surrounded by black-clad ninjas.

At a fortress atop the Wall of the Chaste, Master Izo confronts Elektra. He asks her if she truly believes Matt is in control, or if she is simply blinded by her love for him.
