Synopsis for "Dark Art: Part II"
In Brooklyn, a man defeated several armed men about to kill an Inhuman named Marty Mackowitz. In Washington Heights, Professor Cassius Grover of Pratt University told Freddy Durnin, who was planning on selling a mural, about the police reports that the mural they were looking at was painted with the blood of over a hundred people, all who remained missing. Andrea Pearson, Speaker of the City Council, entered the building, confronted Durnin about wanting to charge people to see the mural, revealing that some of the blood on it belongs to her niece, and asked him not to open the site to the public. When Durnin refused, Pearson threatened to use her power.
Hochberg called Matt to his office in Lower Manhattan and confronted him about walking off an E.C.A.B. (due to the call from Blindsport about the blood mural in the Bronx) and gave him an assignment that involved shutting down the situation in Washington Heights. Later, Matt met with Foggy for coffee in the West Village and they briefly discussed contact with Kirsten before the blind lawyer told his friend about how he was given a job to shut down Durnin's display of the blood painting to the public. At 8:45 PM, in Washington Heights, people lined up outside of Durnin's gallery to see the blood painting before two police officers gave him a court order that prevented him from operating the gallery until the court made a final ruling on its legality. When Durning entered his building, he saw that the painting had been defaced with the text "you're only as good as your last performance" with the address 1602 East 171st.
Matt rode a taxi with Sam to 1602 East 171st, in the Bronx, where an officer took them to several bodies of dead Inhumans, including Marty Mackowitz's, doing poses. Then, Matt told the officer to call the N.Y.P.D.'s liaison with New Attilan. After hearing a heartbeat, Matt left, changed into Daredevil, and met the killer on top of a rooftop.
