Synopsis for "The Red Fist: Part 1"
Elektra stealthy enters the prison where Matt is currently jailed. He's once again approaching him, trying to convince him to free himself, as he would be much more useful to people. They start a conversation about why Daredevil is so stuck on the idea of staying put for two years in a prison because of an accident. Elektra sustains that Devil will generate much more death and injustice this way. While talking, Elektra clearly makes Matthew understand she knows his secret identity, even if she should not: by referring to Foggy and Kirsten, Elektra confesses the fact she does know that under the mask of Daredevil lives Matthew Murdock.
After doing this, Elektra also reveals to Matt the real reasons of all her machinations: the Hand is coming back, stronger than ever. But during an expedition nearby Jericho, together with their old sensei Stick, the Greek assassin found a book containing a secret millenia years old: the Hand had a counter organization called the First. Just like the first was darkness, the second was light. But the Fist needs a king and a queen to get back to business... Matt refuses any implication in Elektra's plan, feeling manipulated. He tells her that she must prove herself by working for the light if she wants his help.
Leaving the prison angry, Elektra meets an old lady looking for some help, as she must live on the streets due to her husband's death. Elektra discovers from the women that she was helped a lot by a certain lawyer that always quoted the Bible: she gives the lady a necklace to provide for her needs, once again reminded of who Matthew Murdock truly is. This leads her to a decision: she will take the mantle of Daredevil while Matt is in jail, and she will protect the Kitchen in Matt's way, without killing. She will do it to convince Matthew. As she fights as the new Devil of Hell's Kitchen, she remembers a detail she did not tell to Murdock: for the First to be reborn, a king and a queen are needed. And only one must survive...
