History
When Ted Sallis tried to summon the ruler of Limbo in order to confront Belasco about his role in the origin of the Man-Thing, he instead summoned Magik, the current ruler of Limbo. She explained that she could free him from the curse of the Man-Thing, but that it would leave the beast mindless and possibly threaten the entire world. Not willing to unleash that, Magik summoned the Dark Riders to help Ted, as the Man-Thing, fight against Harrower to regain his power and his home. The Riders successfully staved off the creatures that Harrower summoned to fight them, and watched as she ultimately was lost in the Nexus of All Realities. What became of the team afterwards is unknown.[1] At some point in time, they disbanded, but reunited for one last mission to get Nature Girl and stop the rampage she caused. Their mission was abruptly stopped when they found Curse dead and couldn't find their target.[2]
