Dave Freed developed a system robbing bodegas all over New York City, becoming known as the Bodega Bandit. For weeks, the police could not catch him, and he began feeling invincible before his run was cut short by Spider-Man. Not only did Spidey web him up for the police, he also took a photo showing his face which was published in the Daily Bugle and posted in bodegas all over the city. Freed did three years for his crime before being released on probation. Unable to find a job because of how famous his face was, he considered returning to the only life he had known, but found that he could no longer do that either. He ended up homeless, sleeping on the streets.[1]
