History
Emma Frost removed the mental blocks that prevented David from retaining the knowledge he absorbs. Thanks to it David quickly surpassed all the teachers at the institute, having permanently retained all the knowledge they possessed, and then left the institute.[2]
Three months later, David announced at a press conference that he developed the cures for AIDS, cancer and every other known disease and would distribute these cures across the country in a matter of weeks. However, in order to develop these cures David was experimenting on Elixir, harvesting the tissues from his body and eventually killing Josh in the process. David mourned his friend, but firmly believed that his unwilling sacrifice was just.[2]
Eighteen years later, David has married former teammate Surge, been elected President of the United States, eliminated poverty, unemployment, and discrimination against mutants and has nearly created a worldwide government. In order to do so, he decided to teleport nuclear weapons directly to China to completely destroy it in one attack. Noriko learned about his plans and informed Danielle Moonstar about it, hoping what she and the X-Men would be able to stop David. The plan, however, failed, David killed Dani and the X-Men, forcing Nori to escape. She gathered the former members of the New Mutants Squad and they joined forces with the Hellions Squad in order to stop David. David predicted all of it, and prepared in advance to defeat them one by one. In order to took him down, Noriko overloaded her gauntlets causing a giant explosion that destroyed the White House and killed both her and David.[1]Attributes
Powers
Psychomimetic: David was able to subconsciously copy the knowledge and any non-superhuman skills and abilities of other beings in proximity. Originally the duplicated knowledge would fade away after he left the proximity of its original owner, but after Emma Frost removed the mental blocks in his head, David was able to permanently retain all the knowledge and eventually became the smartest person in the world.[1]
