Synopsis for "Trial... and Terror!"
While visiting her grandmother, Alison searches the attic of her father's house to find a memento of her mother, a locket. Wearing it, she causes more tension between her and her father. Returning to work, Harry Osgood can only find her a job doing singing telegrams. After, while on a date with Paul Jansen, Paul breaks up with her because they don't have time for each other, Alison storms angrily out of the restaurant.
On her way out, she is approached by plain clothes police officers wanting to take her in for the murder of Klaw, but she fights them off. Trying to fend for herself on the streets of New York, however she decides to turn herself in, having lawyer Kenneth Barnett to represent her in court. Forced to spend time at Ryker's Island before her trail, she is singled out by the Grapplers who try to assert their dominance over her, however she uses her powers to best the group of super human amazons.
On her court day, all seems stacked against her until Wendel Vaughn takes the stand and takes her side. After a tense court case, the judge rules Alison innocent of murder and she is acquitted. Although she is relieved that she was found innocent of the crime on grounds she acted in self-defense, she will carry the guilt of Klaw's demise for the rest of her life.
Notes
- Dazzler's choker appears and disappears several times between panels during her date with Paul.
