Synopsis for "One Foot in Hell"

This Devil-Slayer, Danny Sylva, is set during the American occupation of Iraq. Danny returns for his third tour of duty after having difficulties adjusting to civilian life (girlfriend dumps him, can't find work). When a fellow soldier named Wahl disappears, Danny's squad gets a lead on him, but they walk into an ambush and all but Danny are killed. Danny finds Wahl, strung up by his ankles with his throat cut while devils feed upon human bodies.

Solicit Synopsis

Abandoned by his fiancée, his family, his church, and his government, Sergeant Dan Sylva returns to Iraq for a third tour of duty - and a descent into Hell itself. If the demon Belathauzer and the mysterious mercenary group known as Bloodstone have their way, Iraq, the place where civilization began, may also be where civilization ends. The reinvented Devil-Slayer takes Marvel's DEAD OF NIGHT to terrifying new heights, from award-winning horror novelist Brian Keene (The Rising, Dark Hollow) and artist Chris Samnee (DAREDEVIL: BLOOD OF THE TARANTULA)!

Notes

  • This version of Devil-Slayer is not to be confused with Eric Simon Payne, the original Devil-Slayer.
