Synopsis for "Jack the Ripper"
An American hears stories of a new murder attributed to Jack the Ripper, who has been dead for 20 years, and figures the English are perpetuating a hoax and goes to England to prove that he is really dead. Although the local police try to dissuade him, he locates the cemetery where Jack the Ripper is buried. The caretaker directs him to the grave, but will not accompany him, claiming it is haunted. The man locates the grave, but the Ripper's ghost rises and kills him. The papers report the story, and another American resolves to make the trip to England, beginning the cycle all over again.

Synopsis for "The Albatross!"
When a sailor kills an albatross, which represents good luck to the crew, the ship flounders with a dead radio until the men lash the sailor to the mast with the albatross tied around his neck as punishment. When the man dies, the ship's bad fortune clears, and they make their way back to port.
