Synopsis for 1st story
As the would-be robbers are led away by the police, a cop asks Deadpool for his name. As Deadpool begins to introduce himself as Spider-Man, Sakura Spider cuts him off and introduces them as members of a new hero team called Samurai Squad. As the officer thanks them again, Deadpool quotes Spider-Man's catchphrase, infuriating Sakura Spider. The leader of the robbers breaks free of the police and pulls out a syringe, which Deadpool recognizes as containing the drug from the first chapter. Before he can inject himself with it, Loki Laufeyson immolates him with a blast of magical flames. Deadpool recognizes Loki and interrupts his greeting to wonder if Shueisha is trying to boost ratings by bringing in popular Marvel Comics characters, wondering if Deadpool: Samurai is already tanking in Jump+'s popularity polls - asking the readers to vote for his manga in the monthly readers' survey. Furious at Deadpool ignoring him, Loki shouts that he is a god, Deadpool blocking Loki's staff with his sword and quipping that he heard a man making a complaint at a convenience store make the same claim. As Deadpool declares his intent to turn Loki's face into chimichanga filling, Loki transforms into Sakura Spider, Iron Man, and the Hulk - mockingly asking Deadpool if he can stand to fight his friends. Attacking Loki, Deadpool states that the people he doesn't want to fight are the top brass at Marvel. Bemused and annoyed, Loki prepares to blast the surrounding civilians but is stopped by Sakura Spider - his attack punching a hole through Deadpool's chest. As Loki sneers that Deadpool becoming a hero has made him weak, Deadpool picks himself up and declares his intent to make Loki pay. Loki asks Deadpool to join him, stating that he's putting together a team of supervillains to terrorize humanity. Deadpool admits the idea sounds cool, but turns Loki down - saying he realized something after helping people. Just as Sakura Spider thinks he's finally going to prove himself to be the kind of ideal hero she admires, Deadpool quips that being fawned over by fans is the best - leaving her decidedly unamused. Loki declares his intent to destroy Deadpool so utterly that he'll no longer be able to regenerate, but Deadpool remarks that Loki won't have enough time to do so before the Avengers arrive - holding up his cell phone to show he emailed them to come to his welcoming party celebrating the launch of Deadpool: Samurai. As Sakura Spider grins, Loki nervously thinks to himself that he can't afford a fight against all of the Avengers and decides to retreat for now - warning Deadpool that he will pay for refusing his offer.
Just as Loki vanishes, Deadpool's phone beeps notifying him that the Avengers and other heroes have replied to his email unanimously declining to attend. As Sakura Spider expresses relief that the rejections came in after Loki left, Deadpool remarks he could have taken Loki by himself. As she snaps that he couldn't, a voice interrupts saying that since Deadpool's invite was on such short notice the other Avengers probably already had plans. Turning, Sakura Spider is awestruck to see Captain America but wonders what he's doing outside the United States. As Captain America states he came to attend Deadpool's party, Deadpool jokes that the wings on his mask make him look like Arale Norimaki from Dr. Slump and tries to kiss him - to Sakura Spider's delight. Saying that he's already romantically involved with someone, Captain America accepts a hug from Deadpool instead.
At a restaurant, Captain America is filled in on Loki's involvement and notes that the Asgardian god of lies has been stirring up chaos worldwide. As Captain America notes that the Samurai Squad only having two members bodes ill, Deadpool asks if what he's saying is that they need to give up on Japan. Talking over Deadpool, Sakura Spider says that what Captain America means is that they need to recruit more members; Captain America agreeing and saying they'll need high-profile and popular recruits.
At a concert venue, teenage idol singer Neiro Aratabi finishes her performance and attends a handshake event with her fans. As she cheerfully thanks her fans for their support and adoration, a sweaty overweight salaryman in a dress shirt and tie pulls out a knife and declares his intent to kill Neiro and then himself so that they can be together forever in death. As he lunges, the crowd of fans recoils in terror... but the salaryman finds himself abruptly charging headlong into a pair of gaping jaws lined with needle-sharp teeth. A security guard shouts for Neiro to get back only to see that the attacker has vanished, Neiro kneeling on the ground and facing away from the crowd. As her fans panic and swarm the table to see if she's alright, Neiro thanks them for their concern and tells them that she's fine - her face covered by that of a symbiote as its tongue pulls the attacker's arm into its maw.
