Synopsis for 1st story
Deadpool is trapped in high-tech security foam after the USDA's lead inventor, Imp, discovered that Deadpool was impersonating the USDA's superspy agent Jace Burns. While the security team comes to resolve the disturbance, Deadpool and Imp have a brief talk in which Imp realizes that Deadpool is much more appreciative than agent Jace Burns ever was, and Imp decideds to keep Deadpool's secret, allowing him to continue pretending to be Jace Burns.
Deadpool is freed from the foam trap and has his next mission briefing with Imp and the program director, Reginald Blank. Blank informs Deadpool that he believes the ancient organization Gorgon has returned, and that they have hired the agent Vladica Polyak to lead a raid on the Pinniped research base in Antarctica where scientists were uncovering pieces of knowledge out of the Multiverse. During the raid, a tear occurred in the fabric between universes and all scientists on the base who looked at it went mad with knowledge that the human brain wasn't designed to understand. One scientist named Dr. Chip Dipson escaped, however, along with a piece of a mysterious valuable artifact known as the "Protolith".
Deadpool convinces his tactical supervisor, Ms. Shortbread, to accompany him to Antarctica and the two of them eventually board a train in the Arctic that they believe the missing scientist is hiding upon. While on the train, the two friends begin developing romantic feelings for each other and order drinks from the meal car, but Deadpool's drink is poisoned by the waitress and he begins to choke. The waitress reveals herself to be the same woman from the casino that the real Jace Burns died at. Her associate, Vladica Polyak, is sitting in the same room and he recognizes Deadpool as the mercenary chokes on the poison that has been administered to him. It dawns on Polyak realizes that Deadpool has been impersonating Jace since the casino and decides to capture him for his boss. Deadpool fights back, but is ultimately defeated, and his ally Ms. Shortbread watches as he is taken away, furious at Deadpool for lying about who he was. Deadpool is loaded into a helicopter with Polyak and the waitress Gorgon agent, and the three fly away.
