  • The movie's ending was tweaked during reshoots at the urging of Ryan Reynolds' wife Blake Lively. Originally, Deadpool and Wolverine's survival after destroying the Time Ripper was never in question, as they are immediately shown to have survived the film's climax. According to director Shawn Levy, Lively urged for the movie to linger on revealing the titular character's survival, expressing, "You know, I've been with you this whole movie. I want to sit in the fear that they're lost. Let me be in that place of suspense so the triumph of their survival is more emotional and visceral." The reshot content included Mr. Paradox's impassioned speech before he is disrupted by the heroes' return to the Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris."[24]
  • Stunt performer David McDonald was cast and filmed as a variant of David Hasselhoff's Nick Fury, but his scenes were cut from the final film. Fury's appearance during the battle with Cassandra Nova's Henchmen is still present in the script. [25]
