History
The Deathbirds were Anti-Personnel Missiles that were buried after it was believed they were too vicious weapons for civilized warfare. Following an experimental detonation on the San Andreas Fault, the resulting earthquakes reactivated the Deathbirds, which threatened to harm innocents. After warning the President of the danger the Deathbirds would pose and being refused the Air Force's intervention as requested, Victor von Doom attempted to deactivate the Deathbirds using a deactivator. The Deathbirds began targeting civilians fleeing the earthquake and the collapse of the San Andreas Dam. Seeing the carnage the Deathbirds were causing and realizing they were heat-seeking weapons, Warlock increased the heat on himself, attracting the Deathbirds to him. Once they reached the desert, Von Doom activated the deactivator, exploding the Deathbirds, thus destroying them.[1]
Properties
The Deathbirds were miniature heat-seeking missiles, specially designed to hit places where there were crowded people.
