History

The Defenders were formed to take back Earth from Doctor Doom. When Thor arrived on Earth, Slinger didn't believe he was the great savior. Doom eventually captured the team and Thor, but when Thor was about to be executed, the Punisher, Black Bride, and the Brain Trust betrayed Doom which allowed Thor to free his comrades and Captain America. They then helped defeat Doom.
