History
Deola was a technopath who allied herself with another criminal, transporting a Crimson Scarab in an attempt to summon and control the god Anubis to take over New York City. They were pursued by Moon Knight and Spider-Man, so Deola tranfigured the truck they were using as transport into a mecha to fight the two heroes. She was unable to overpower Spider-Man, and was subsequently taken down and restrained.[1]
Deola was imprisoned in the Cube until Iron Man recruited for a job in an attempt to reform her. Although she initially attempted to use her powers against him to no avail due to the countermeasures built into it, Deola then helped Iron Man fend off against a S.H.I.E.L.D. strike team led by a backup clone of Stark himself, an anomaly from Stark's consciousness-backup system.
Three months later, Deola and Iron Man had developed a rapport, and she was assisting him in refueling a S.H.I.E.L.D. weapon satellite when Stark was attacked by Gargantus. She assisted him in the fight, shedding off her space armor and using her powers to integrate it into Iron Man's suit for a power boost. Stark subsequently overpowered Gargantus and tore into his chest, but Deola seemingly caused it to detonate when she squished something inside. Iron Man shoved Deola's out of harm's way before being caught in the explosion and dying, but not before reassuring her that there was still another Tony Stark out there, the Iron Man that Deola met having been another anomaly clone himself. Deola avenged Tony by using her powers to fire the S.H.I.E.L.D. satellite toward the spaceship of the aliens that had sent Gargantus after Iron Man, destroying it.[2]Attributes
