Diane Jenkins was a student at Empire State University who along with her roommate created a viral video showcasing Diane as the secret identity of Spider-Woman. The video became so popular that it garnered the attention of many people who sent death threats to Diane.

Also attracting the real Spider-Woman Jessica Drew to the scene, Diane suddenly became a target of a member of Hydra who tried to kill her with a sniper rifle but Jessica was able to make quick work of the would be assassin. However this caused Diane to flee the scene, but she then came across the criminal Charlotte Witter who didn't like the idea of sharing the same moniker.
She was about to attack Diane but Jessica once again interfered battling Witter in the streets of Manhattan. During the scuffle, Diane accidentally ran into the street where she was hit by a bus killing her in an instant.[1]
