History
Debbie was a doctor working for the mysterious Project Centipede helping to develop their Centipede weapons. She created these weapons by combining various agents that had created superpowered humans in the past - the gamma radiation that created the Hulk, Dr. Erskine's super-soldier serum, and A.I.M's Extremis. The Extremis component proved especially troublesome, as all of Dr. Debbie's test subjects except for Mike Peterson had exploded. The Doctor's works were exposed after S.H.I.E.L.D. agents led by Agent Phil Coulson apprehended Peterson in Los Angeles and took out the assassin that she sent.[2]
Debbie was later brought out to Hong Kong, where she worked closely with fellow Project Centipede operative Raina to use Chan Ho Yin, a human with pyrokinetic abilities, to solve the Extremis problem. The Doctor found that Chan's blood platelets were resistant to fire, and believed that adding those platelets to the Centipede weapons would make the Extremis element more stable. At a cost, Chan would no longer be able to withstand the heat his body generated, and would burn from the inside. Coulson and his agents were able to track down Project Centipede's location, and Chan, who injected himself with some enhancing product, killed Debbie in her escape.[1]Notes
Shannon Lucio portrays Dr. Debbie in the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes "Pilot" and "Girl in the Flower Dress."
