History
Doctor Kosineski was a doctor at the North Shore Medical Center.[1] She was present in a crowd of bystanders during a fight between the X-Men and Terrax the Tamer. After the villain was defeated, the X-Men's leader Kitty Pryde checked up on the onlookers. Dr. Kosineski stopped her daughter from talking to Kitty, calling her an "it." When Pryde interjected, Kosineski mocked the different terms to refer to mutants. This prompted Kitty to promise the crowd to rebuild humanity's trust in mutantkind.[2]
Kitty's words stuck with Dr. Kosineski, and she kept an eye on the X-Men's different exploits over the following months, which redeemed the mutant heroes in her eyes. When the X-Men brought a mutant named Brian Morrison who had been fatally shot to North Shore, Dr. Kosineski stepped in to offer to perform a life-saving surgery on the boy since the main E.R. physician had refused due to his prejudice against mutants. Kosineski also recalled to Kitty Pryde their previous interaction and explained that her views had changed.[1] In the end, Dr. Kosineski managed to save Brian's life.[3]
