Synopsis for "Blood in the Aether - Chapter Two: Night of Four Billion Nightmares"
In a dream that he does not realize he is in, Stephen Strange is performing surgery on a patient while he brags about it to himself. After the surgery, he takes a number of women with him in an expensive car to his mansion, where they all go to his room to sleep together. The surgeon begins actingly strangely instead, looking for monsters under his bed and in the mansion's cellar while the seductive women try to convince him to go back to bed.
Elsewhere, in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum, Baron Mordo vents his anger at Doctor Strange escaping his death,[1] and his master Dormammu possesses street rats to attack Mordo for his failure. Wong, who along with Zelma Stanton watched Doctor Strange melt into the ground during the battle with Baron Mordo,[2] realizes that Doctor Strange was kidnapped by Nightmare and needs rescuing. He and Zelma go to sleep to try and enter Strange's dream.
In Doctor Strange's dream, he is searching his house for the oddities and creepy things found in the Sanctum Sanctorum while the number of seductive women clothed in bedsheets following him around increases. Wong appears at the door in Strange's dream as a pizza delivery person, and offers Strange a disgusting pizza of monsterous body parts that Strange would usually eat in the real world.[3] Zelma throws books down the chimney of Strange's mansion to alert him that he is in a dream, but the scantily-clad women burn the books instead. Strange finally realizes he is dreaming, and smashes his hand with a meat cleaver to wake himself up.
Strange wakes up in Nightmare's domain and remembers how he got there before he was asleep. He remembers that Nightmare draws his power from the millions of bad dreams people are having in the real world, so on the spot he creates a new spell to transfer the dreams from every person on Earth to himself. He traverses through the nightmares of every sleeping person, giving them all a good sleep, and after coming out of all the dreams finds Nightmare to be shrunk down tiny because he has no power to draw from. Before he is able to do anything with the miniscule Nightmare, however, Strange is suddenly teleported to a restaurant booth, sitting across from the daughter of the devil, Satana.
