History

Donna Diego was a security guard with a history of psychosis. While working for the Life Foundation, the corporation bonded her to the Scream Symbiote. She briefly became a member of Spider-Man's rogues gallery, but later reformed.

During one of her psychotic episodes, Scream hatched a plan to conquer the citizens of New York City. She caused the Symbiote Codices in individuals to mass-produce and regain control of their hosts. With them, she amassed an army and set up Agent Venom as the figurehead. Scream was ultimately defeated when Superior Spider-Man created an anti-symbiote ray that briefly gave hosts back control of their bodies. Afterwards, Donna joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and its Spider-Men.

With the Symbiote Hive

Scream was among the symbiotes later imprisoned in the Symbiote Prison on Klyntar. She rejoined the Hive to organize a prison break and exact revenge on Spider-Man. Scream was later attacked by Venom and assimilated into the Unity of Venom.
