History

The Doomrack was a torture implement to question even the most onery of prisoners. The victim was shackled on his or her writs and waist, then was submitted to electrical charges from a control station operated by a qualified person. As the item was built by Doctor Doom and kept at the dungeons of his castle]] at Latveria, the operator belonged to the Latverian Army.[1]

At one point, Doom captured a dark-skinned man, probably a Wakandan, and questioned him about a metal with fascinant, vibration-absorbing qualities. After being tortured, the man revealed that -as far as he knew- the metal was called Vibranium and was secretly mined at Wakanda. Doom required no more information of the man -as he could get that data himself by spying Wakanda- and ordered to release him.[1]
