In the dystopian future of Earth-19542 Nancy Whitehead had died years ago and the Avengers Tower was in ruins, Old Lady Squirrel Girl was attacked by Kang. After failing to kill her there and then, Kang decided to kill her in the past instead. Failing to kill 20-year old Doreen, Kang then went back even further, before she was fourteen and had her first superhero adventure. Young Squirrel Girl managed to trick Kang by breaking his time machine controller: though Kang was able to reassemble it with each, Doreen now saw how its components pieced together.
Having remembered that, Old Lady Squirrel Girl traveled back to aid her teenage self, taking her 20-year old self along the way. Together, the three of them defeated Kang and send him back to his time, only to come face to face with Immortus, who apologized for the actions of his past self. Immortus then send everyone back to their time, tweaking their memory so that nobody would remember those events until it was time for them to happen respectively again. Old Lady Squirrel Girl managed to trick him however, and left an Acorn Locket with a note inside to her 20-year old self. This changed her future and instead of Earth-19542 she woke up in Earth-21197, where Nancy being long dead was merely a passing dream.[1]
