History

Cypher presumably shared a similar history to his Prime Marvel Universe counterpart until after the New Mutants were transported to Asgard, Magik was to return them to Earth but took them to Limbo where she turned on the team and killed or captured them, Cypher was captured and mutated and combined with Karma to control any resistance that would arise in Limbo.
