History
An anthropomorphic duck who became a supervillain in a metal uniform with some incorporated gadgets[4] and the ruler of the small country Quackveria,[5] Doom obtained international notoriety appearing in the media. He repeatedly confronted the superhero team Fantastic Fur,[4] to the point of really hating them.[3] Many other heroes, like the Scavengers and the X-Bugs, knew about Doom and considered him a potential enemy,[5] thou for some reason Doom was in good terms with superhero Deerdevil.[6] Doom had many resources, including power, wealth, superior intelligence and Cybil Sheepdog's unlisted phone number, but he admittedly lacked empathy[3] or the ability to predict the masses' behavior.[4] Doom believed that the people of Quackveria loved him dearly, but he may well be misreading them.[3]
After being defeated by the Fantastic Fur and sent to space, Doom landed in Australia and the local intelligent kangaroos worshipped him like a god. He moved to St. Croix Trapezoid in the Caribbean, hoping to create a rock band to earn a lot of money. To do that, he kidnapped the crew and passengers of airplanes and tried to use technology to turn them into musicians, but the kangaroos did not appreciate the result. When he accidentally kidnapped Spider-Ham in the latter's secret identity as photojournalist Peter Porker as part of a Daily Beagle investigation, Doom's plan wrecked: Beagle journalist Bunsen Bunny used the chaos caused by Spider-Ham to activate a magnet that catched Doom's metal suit, and Doom accidentally became a popular rock star himself with songs like"I don't wanna be a star, I don't wanna be a celebrity".[4]
After having to deal with the life of a reclusive rock star,[4] Doom discovered a medical experimental serum and had it stolen from hospitals to use it as a weapon, using the alias "Master Conniver", to build an army of intelligent vegetables. Spider-Ham discovered his plan (because he needed the serum for his Aunt May's treatment) and defeated the vegetables. Seeing that the vegetables would not beat Spider-Ham, Doom escaped his base before the fight was over. Spider-Ham then discovered that the serum was not useful for Doom's plans, as the effect could be reverted.[7]
The Bee-Yonder visited Doom to give a"major overhaul toot-sweet"'s ensemble just after giving Spider-Ham a new suit.[8] At some point after that, Doom was apprehended at sent to jail, but he escaped in a massive break-out; he was apprehended later,[9] but somehow left prison and returned to his life as the ruler of Quackveria.[5]
In Quackveria, Doom took under his care the surviving family of a victim in the Quackverian People's War for Independence (which the people lost): Mrs. Yurchaynz, as a servant in Castle Doom, and her son Kastoff. Kastoff had Doom as his father figure and, appreciative of the attention, Doom behaved fatherly with him. However, Doom's patience was put to the test when Mrs. Yurchaynz served him stuffing after he had requested mashed potatoes. Doom sentenced her to two months of solitary confinement, which led to Kastoff, in teenage angst rebellion, disregarding Doom. Not understanding the cause of Kastoff's change, Doom decided to summon Spider-Ham, famous for his compassion;[3] Doom sent a letter to Peter Porker, having concluded that Porker knew Spider-Ham (but not that Porker was secretly Spider-Ham). He staged a complex situation pretending to kill the messenger to lure Spider-Ham to Quackveria, suggesting that Doom had an evil plan in progress; once Spider-Ham arrived, Doom promised to pay his expenses, and explained his real reason.[5] Spider-Ham correctly deduced that Doom could solve the situation by releasing the woman before the time and apologizing, thou Doom wanted to negotiate his level of mercy. When Doom finally did, Kastoff agreed to talk with him again, thou he also fought Doom.[3]
Once Spider-Ham obtained the power of Captain Zooniverse, Spider-Ham defeated Doom and several other villains sent them to "the frigid void of outer space", purportedly for good.[10]Attributes
