History

A reality similar to our own, with the exception of Clyde Wyncham, Jr., the world's only mutant.

Trivia

  • Although Marvel 1985 was originally a standalone story, Mark Millar referenced it in Kick-Ass #4, which also takes place in a Earth-1218-like world where superheroes are just comic book characters, thus implying that they take place in the same reality. With the release of Kick-Ass 3 #8, which has several references to his other creator-owned comics, including those that weren't published by Icon Comics imprint, Millar confirmed on the Millarworld forum that they all take place in one universe and pointed out how they are connected.[1] Marvel 1985 wasn't mentioned in the original post, but Millar clarified in the interview that it's indeed took place in the Millarworld reality,[2] retroactively making Image-published Wanted #1 Earth-1219's first appearance. Kick-Ass #1 is the first appearance of Earth-1219 in a material published by Marvel.
