History
A zombie outbreak consumed most superheroes on the planet, the only safe place for humans left being the Sanctuary, protected by an impenetrable shield and governed by Dracula's Vampire Nation. There, humanity continued to exist in comfort and safety at the price of becoming the Vampires' blood supply source. Blade acted as the protector of Sanctuary with Rick Jones as his partner, hating himself for enabling it but seeing no other way to protect what remained of humanity.[1]
