Captain America's Shield from Exiles Vol 1 23 0001

In this reality, Tony Stark has manipulated the entire world into electing him Emperor of the Planet for life.[1]

Many years prior to Stark's ascension, the world was torn apart by the Mutant War, a conflict between mutantkind and humanity. Led by Magneto, an army of mutants launched a global attack against humankind. Stark took advantage of the situation, funding Magneto's army in order to thin out the planet's superhuman population through the resulting war. While Magneto had promised Stark leadership of Earth's remaining humans after the war, Stark betrayed him and killed Magneto, becoming a worldwide hero.[1]

Next, Stark engineered a famine that caused millions of deaths worldwide. After curing this famine, Stark's fame grew further and he soon won the presidency of the United States of America. He next developed technology that allowed him to control the climate, using it to bring about massive natural disasters in Europe and Asia, to prompt those countries affected to relinquish control to him. Economic downspins in the Americas had the same effect, soon uniting the planet under Stark's rule.[1]

Doctor Doom was soon the only challenge left to Stark's authority. Despite the two having a secret alliance, Doom betrayed Stark and attempted to seize power for himself. While Stark succeeded in killing him, Doom managed to disfigure Stark. With his enemies destroyed, Stark turned his gaze towards Inhumans, hoping to seize their technology to use them as fodder in his armies. Led by King Black Bolt and Queen Susan Storm, the Inhumans did their best to remain hidden.[2]

Weapon X, a group of superhumans traveling from reality to reality to right wrongs were sent to aid Stark. Stark's forces managed to find Attilan, home of the Inhumans, but rather than hand over their secrets, Black Bolt detonated the city, killing the Inhumans and taking much of Stark's army with them. Stark would meet his end soon thereafter, as Susan Storm had escaped Attilan in order to assassinate Stark.[3]
