Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas was intended to take place within the continuity of the Iron Man film, a fact that was confirmed by Tom Brevoort.[1]Adi Granov, however, stated in an interview with Comic Book Resources in 2008 that Viva Las Vegas is standalone and independent of any continuity, with references to the film being just Easter eggs.[2] After a while, it was fully retconned out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and placed in its own reality, designated as Earth-80734 by the Appendix to the Handbook of the Marvel Universe.
