History

Cassie Lang was left on her own after the death of her father. The older kids let her play with them out of pity, but still looked down on her between themselves, treating Cassie like a child. After one more practical joke at her expense, Cassie ran away to cry under a tree, upset at being treated differently just because she was small.

Cassie found herself in Wonderland, a place where he emotions affected her size: she would grow to the size of a giant when feeling confident but would shrink to the size of an insect when feeling insecure. She met the strange inhabitants of Wonderland, including the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and the Hatter, concluding that all of them were mad (except for the Caterpillar). Arrested by the King and Queen of the land, she was put on trial. The inhabitants of Wonderland whom Cassie had previously met were called as witnesses, but their testimonies were twisted against her, and eventually the King called to take her head. This pushed Cassie to the breaking point, and she defiantly stood up to the King and Queen, her giant size scaring them and making them beg for their lives. Cassie agreed to be a friend to them and to others, no longer seeking validation from others but rather being proud of herself.

Cassie then woke up in the park, realizing that the Wonderland was a dream she had while having dozed off. Having learned the truth about herself, she went back to her friends, determined to be accepted for who she was.[1]
