History
Wolverine became an agent of SHIELD instead of a member of the X-Men. Logan helped Nick Fury and the Black Widow hunt down and eliminate Hydra controlled LMDs within S.H.I.E.L.D., and put an end to Baron Strucker. Nick Fury was later killed by a LMD of Baron Strucker, and Logan took over as Director of SHIELD. He turned down Professor Xavier's offer to join the X-Men. Logan helped make the world safe for mutant kind by ridding the world of Sentinels and mutant oppressors.[1]
