History

A divergent Earth wherein the Phoenix Force, having assumed Jean Grey’s form, fell in love with Wolverine. Jean’s apparent newfound attraction was due to the underlying nature of the Phoenix, which also chaffed at the apparent restraint upon her feelings and actions caused by Jean's relationship with Cyclops. As a result, less was said about Jean's occasional lack of restraint with her evolved powers, Cyclops being uncertain that his concerns were genuine as the team's leader or based on feelings of jealousy. This, and Wolverine's lack of qualification as a calming element in her life, eventually allowed Jean Grey to fully fall under the sway of the Dark Phoenix, unleashing her full power and obliterating the universe
