History
Mysterio learned the identity of Peter Parker as Spider-Man, and he and his associates kidnapped Mary Jane Watson. Spider-Man went around defeating them individually until he was able to rescue Mary Jane.[1] Later, Mysterio was able to convince New York City that Spider-Man had turned bad by using robot replacements until Spider-Man was able to prove his innocence.[2] Alistaire Smythe escaped an asylum and unleashed multiple Spider-Slayers on New York until he was defeated by Spider-Man.[3]
