History

This world's history was presumably similar to Earth-616 up until Spider-Man (Peter Parker) attempted to get rid of the Black Suit after realizing it was alive, however the symbiote did not give up in continuing to be bonded to Spider-Man causing Spider-Man to over-exert himself and die in the process. Feeling bad for inadvertently causing the death of Spider-Man the symbiote bonded to a nearby host in the form of Eddie Brock and the 2 took on the previous one's moniker in the form of Spider-Man. Word spread quickly of the previous Spider-Man's demise and this new one's rise to power with many curious about how it happened. [1]

The symbiote worried that Eddie Brock once given sentience either wouldn't want to be a superhero like Peter or would reject it like Peter had restricted Eddie's movements only allowing him to move, talk, and think through it. Sometime later Doctor Octopus (Otto Octavius) would attack New York causing the 2 become Spider-Man and save the day being nicknamed "Spider-Man 2" by the residents. Doctor Octopus while fighting the 2 was curious on how the previous Spider-Man had met his demise wanting to use the knowledge of said demise to kill the new one. Ock unintentionally got his answer when he banged his 2 tentacles together injuring the symbiote, Ock considered using the symbiote for his own means but decided he preferred his mechanical arms over the symbiote and decided to just kill Brock and the symbiote instead. However now that Brock and the symbiote were separated with Brock alone with his own thoughts, Brock decided he liked being a hero and now that he had a choice he wanted to be one. So Brock took a nearby brick and hurled it at Ock's head temporarily knocking him unconscious, Brock then rushed to the injured symbiote's side praying that it was still alive. Ock meanwhile woke up and commented that the brick being hurled at him was a cheap shot but when he got up Brock and the symbiote were now re-bonded as Spider-Man however instead of the symbiote restricting Brock's movements making it so it was basically one using another's body to fight the 2 were now bonded as one fighting Ock and defeated him. After Ock was defeated suddenly a portal containing Agent Venom (Anne Weying) who told the 2 to come with her. [1]
