History
Captain America wasn't frozen in ice and Bucky didn't disappear. The pair continued to fight crime as Cap and Bucky grew old, where Bucky continuously helped save Cap from various situations even when Cap was an old man. Cap ultimately appeared to be on his death bed with Bucky at his side. This reality was experienced as a dream by the Captain America of the Prime Marvel Universe during the moments he was frozen in ice.[1]
