History
In this reality, Matthew Hawk and his supporting cast lived in the 1830s at the time of the Texas Revolution. Matthew Hawk was the Two Gun Kid as in Earth-616, and he meet Jim Bowie just before the Battle of the Alamo, when Bowie saved the Kid in a gunfight with the outlaw Wolf Fargo. When news of the attack of the Mexican army arrived to Tombstone, Texas, Hawk went to the Alamo mission, only to find all the garrison massacred. So he vowed revenge against Fargo,who was destroyed the bridges to the mission, avoiding the arrival of the Texas Army to The Alamo. In the end, Fargo was killed by some Apache band and the Two Gun Kid promised to continue the struggle of the Texas Revolution.
Notes
- In this reality, Texas had been settled more intensely that in Earth-616 by American settlers, and the technology is more reminiscent to the 1880s that to the 1830s. An "Ok corral" had been built in Texas, instead of Arizona.
- When the story "Remember the Alamo" was reprinted in Two-Gun Kid #134, it was added a caption, in that mentioned that scenario depicted there was a What-if scenario if the Two-Gun kid had lived 40 years earlier.(1836 in the famous Battle of the Álamo). So, that story happens in an alternate universe, named temporarly as "Earth-TRN1233".
