History
This reality, apparently a divergent version of Earth-1218, operated on strict rules of physics that did not permit any super heroes, gods or aliens to exist.[1][2] Despite this, Shatterstar was able to visit this reality through a dimensional rift. He met a woman named Tina Cooke on the Manhattan Bridge who became fascinated with a possibility of a more exciting life and asked to follow him to Earth-616.[3]
Tina was later abducted on Grandmaster's orders as part of his plot involving Shatterstar,[4] which eventually led to her death.[5] Seeking to avenge her, Shatterstar took Grandmaster to Tina's home reality, where the Elder's godlike powers did not work and Shatterstar was able to kill the Grandmaster seemingly for good.[3]Notes
- Although repeatedly referred to as Earth-1218 throughout Shatterstar Vol 1, this reality cannot be our actual real world, which notably lacks cross-dimensional portals or visits by individuals from other realities. It is possible that this reality diverged from ours at the moment of Shatterstar's initial visit.[6]
