History
In a possible future, Gwenpool became a powerful supervillain.[1] Spider-Man, Vincent Doonan and Terrible Eye travelled back in time to the Prime Marvel Universe and sought the help of Gwenpool's brother Teddy to return her to their native universe to prevent her from becoming evil.[2]
However, when Teddy forced Gwen through a portal meant to take them back to their original reality,[3] it instead put them in a pocket universe melded from Gwen and Teddy's memories.[1] Though her memories in the Marvel Universe had been erased, Gwen managed to vaguely recall her adventures there, and eventually discovered that she was inside a comic book.[3] Gwen pushed the boundaries of her abilities to perceive the medium to exit into the Gutter Space, from where she could observe from the outside the pages of her comic book.[4] This way she regained her memories and learned that a future version of her allies tried to rid of her.[2] Gwenpool subsequently returned to the pocket universe, only to show Teddy they were still inside a comic book, and tore a hole in the pages to return to the Marvel Universe.[1]Trivia
- Among the few differences from our world, the Grand Theft Auto equivalent is called Car Crimes, and some Marvel-related release dates: Gwen picks up Secret Wars #3 (June 2015),[3] and a few days later has her father get her tickets for the upcoming week's New York Comic-Con (held in October since 2010), as she is working in a theater playing Captain America: Civil War (only came out in 2016).[4]
