History
Earth-1610B is a reality where Peter Parker operated as Spider-Man for over ten years, living out a near-perfect life as the beloved sole protector of New York City. One of Spider-Man's recurring foes was the mob boss the Kingpin. His wife Vanessa and son Richard died in a car crash after trying to flee from him once exposed to his brutal side after witnessing him in battle with Spider-Man.
Kingpin took interest in the Multiverse and the idea to explore alternate realities in order to seek out variants of his wife and son that were still alive.[1] He recruited Alchemax to build a Super Collider to this end and, during their experiments, scientist Johnathon Ohnn plucked a variant of the radioactive spider that was supposed to bite an alternate Miles Morales from the alternate reality of Earth-42.[3] The spider escaped and bit Miles, giving him similar powers to Spider-Man. Miles later witnessed Spider-Man disrupting the activation of the Super Collider, causing an explosion that incapacitated him long enough for Kingpin to kill him.
The explosion tore portals in different universes, bringing to this reality other spider-people, including the jaded and older Peter Parker of Earth-616B, and Gwen Stacy of Earth-65B. Miles would eventually encounter Peter, Gwen and the other spider-heroes, learning to fill the shoes of his late predecessor as he teamed up with them to stop Kingpin's attempt to rebuild the Super Collider. After sending back home the displaced spider-heroes, deactivating the Super Collider and defeating the Kingpin, Miles positioned himself as New York City's new Spider-Man.[1]Residents

- This reality is designated "E-1610" in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and "Earth-1610" in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, however it cannot be the same Earth-1610 as shown in the Ultimate Marvel comics due to many irreconcilable differences in their history. Since Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse also designates the home reality of Peter B. Parker as "Earth-616B" and the home reality of Ultimate Tarantula as "Earth-1610A", by the same naming conventions this reality can be classified as Earth-1610B.
- A deleted scene included in the "alternate universe" edit of the film released on Blu-ray includes a direct reference to Iron Man.[4]
- Prior to being given an official reality number, this universe was known as Earth-TRN700 as part of our Temporary Reality Numbers system.
