Notes

  • The original Ex-Mutant independent comic-book Volume 1 was created by David Lawrence and Ron Lim, edited by David Campiti, and published in 1986 by Eternity Comics, then by Pied Piper Comics's Amazing Comics imprint. After legal disputes between authors and publishers, Malibu Comics obtained the rights on the series, continuing the story. In 1992, however, Malibu decided to reboot the Ex-Mutants series, with different characters, a different world and keeping only the name and, to some extent, the spirit of the original.
  • Malibu's videogame division, Malibu Interactive, also released a SEGA Genesis videogame about the Ex-Mutants.[3]
