History
After the death of Charles Xavier, Moira MacTaggert and Magneto tried to keep his dream alive, seeking out powerful mutants to mentor help in their pursuit of peaceful coexistence with humankind. However, at the same time, Apocalypse was trying to subdue the world so he could rule under an iron fist.[1]
After Alpha the Ultimate decided to join Apocalypse's side and turn Magneto into a toddler, Apocalypse got the necessary edge and managed to "cull the world in the name of genetic superiority". From then on, the only resistance remaining were the brave X-Men, led by Moira MacTaggert.[1]
The Nightmare of Earth-616 once had the Charles Xavier of his reality experience life in this world, expecting to break his spirit,[3] but he ended up giving him motivation instead.[4]See Also
