Harken friends to this tale, not for the wary, where Spider High shares the grounds of a cemetery, but much stranger is the new student in town, a gloomy boy with a permanent frown. A quiet boy, who never fit in, dear reader, with a secret crush on the red-haired cheerleader. Unknown to him, he breathes his last breaths, for his path of life will soon fill with deaths.

Synopsis for "The Terrible Horror of the Spooky-Man"
The Spooky-Man narrates the story of Gluemy Miller, a lonely outcast who has a crush on popular cheerleader Sailor. Gluemy has received a note supposedly from Sailor and follows it to a cemetery where it is revealed Sailor's boyfriend Fish, who suspected that Gluemy had feelings for Sailor wrote the note. With his suspicions confirmed him and his friends chase after Gluemy, Gluemy runs into the school to get away from them despite Doctor Krakenpus' warnings. Gluemy manages to hide from Fish until he notices a door, curious he opens the door but this causes Fish to find him, Fish proceeds to throw Gluemy down the stairs and lock the door behind him. As Gluemy falls he snaps his neck on a step and dies, the Spooky-Man a mythical demon locked in the boiler room sees Gluemy's corpse and bonds to him reviving him. The next day, Gluemy wakes up and is shocked to find he's alive, his father enthusiastically hypes him up and tells him to get ready for school.
As Gluemy gets ready for the day, he looks in the mirror and finds that his skin has turned deathly pale. In the car ride, Gluemy asks his father if his mother told him why (aside from his father's opportunity at the collider) they moved to Webberton, his father simply tells him not to focus on the past. At school, the students notice Gluemy's pale skin, some make fun of him for it others like it with one girl even stating he looks cute. Gluemy sits down and notices Sailor which causes his mood to turn sour, suddenly Gluemy sees the Spooky-Man and horrified begins to run away, the Spooky-Man speaks to him in poems while Sailor chases after him. While the two are gone, the faculty do a speech before revealing they are supervillains called the Sinnerster Six and take over the school and begin forcing the students to perform their ritual to summon the Great Beast with mind control.
Outside, Gluemy continues to try and run away from the Spooky-Man unaware it is bonded to him. The Spooky-Man tells him it is pointless to run as Sailor chases after him, back at the school they continue to try and summon the Great Beast but when it doesn't work they notice Sailor is missing from the Spiderlings' cheer squad. Gluemy continues to run away as Sailor continue to chase after him to apologize to him when a tree is struck by lightning, Gluemy notices the tree falling and pushes Sailor out of the way. The tree crushes Gluemy and kills him once more, Sailor runs away to go get help but is captured by the Sinnerster Six and forced to finish the ritual. The Spooky-Man revived Gluemy once more and takes control of his body, Gluemy is confused on how this works but decides not to argue and the two head to the school. Gluemy and the Spooky-Man arrive and battle the Sinnerster Six, but is not able to stop them from summoning the Great Beast.
Gluemy and Spooky-Man grab Sailor and swallow her in order to make the ritual incomplete, this results in the school exploding. The faculty and students wake up from their mind control with no memory of what happened with Sailor and Gluemy being the only ones to remember. Sailor gives Gluemy a kiss on the cheek as a thanks for saving her before going over to her boyfriend Fish, Spooky-Man tells Gluemy to not give up as they'll get her eventually.
