Synopsis for "The Hunting: Part 3"
On Earth-11964, Kraven the Hunter and Electro recoil at the sight of the hulking black and white monster crushing a pipe above them, a serpentine tongue snaking between its fanged jaws. Electro panics and fires off a bolt of electricity, narrowly missing Kraven and causing the monster to flee. Furious, Kraven grabs Electro by the shoulders and berates him, snapping that the monster is Spider-Man. As Kraven leaves to follow the monster's trail, he thinks to himself that while it doesn't look like Spider-Man it moves and smells like him. As Electro protests that they have to warn the others, Doctor Octopus arrives and asks what they're talking about. Electro blurts out that they found a monster that Kraven thinks is Spider-Man, Kraven grimly insisting that it is. Stating that he trusts Kraven more than Electro, Doctor Octopus asks which way their quarry fled. As Kraven says it's headed to the roof, Doctor Octopus nonchalantly says that the Vulture is more than capable of holding his own. Following after Kraven, Electro grumbles that he has a bad feeling about this. Kraven snaps at them to shut up, glaring as he notes that they'll never understand that the hunt requires focus, discipline, and commitment.
Arriving on the roof, the three super-villains find the Vulture in the claws of the monstrous Spider-Man, restrained by semi-amorphous tentacles extending from its body and crying for help as it tries to bite off his head. The monster bites out a huge chunk of the Vulture's neck, Electro covering his mouth in horror and Doctor Octopus gaping in shock as Kraven grimly notes that their prey has become a predator, changing the nature of the hunt. With a scream of fury, Doctor Octopus launches himself at the monstrous Spider-Man and tackles it off the roof, Kraven examining a viscous black ooze on the dying Vulture's body as Electro nervously asks what it is. Electro says that he's leaving and that if Kraven is smart he'll leave too, but Kraven refuses to abandon the hunt, elated by the thrill of a worthy opponent. As the monstrous Spider-Man overpowers him through sheer strength, Doctor Octopus panics and calls out for help; Kraven leaping off the roof and plunging his hunting knifw into its back. Shrieking in rage and pain, the monster destabilizes into flailing black tendrils, exposing Spider-Man. Coiling tendrils around Doctor Octopus' throat and trying to strangle him, the black ooze begins to engulf Spider-Man once more as he begs his enemies to help him, Kraven noting that he finally understands and that things have gotten far more complicated than he'd thought.
