Synopsis for "The Hunting: Part 4"

On Earth-11964, Kraven the Hunter notes that the world is a place of hunters and prey, but that the semi-amorphous black and white monster formerly bonded to Spider-Man seems to be a combination of both. Realizing that Spider-Man is the key to understanding it, Kraven moves to cut him free of the monster's tendrils to no avail, as it regenerates as soon as he slashes it. Drawing a comparison to the Lernean Hydra of Greek mythology, Kraven wonders if it has the same weakness and calls out to the fleeing Electro to blast it. As the monster rises up into a semi-humanoid form, holding Spider-Man in one "hand" and the unconscious Doctor Octopus in its other, Electro protests that doing so previously only made it angry. Kraven shouts at him to set the grass around the monster ablaze, and Electro reluctantly does so, forcing the monster to relinquish its grasp on Spider-Man. As Kraven catches the man he'd meant to hunt to death and carries him a safe distance away, Electro rejoices just as the Rhino arrives and asks what's going on. Before Electro can reply, the monster furiously ensnares them with its tendrils and roars at them.

Cradling Spider-Man, Kraven asks what they're up against and Spider-Man weakly replies that it's an alien symbiote that pretended to be a costume but took over his body during his fight with the Green Goblin, devouring him and many others who've since come to the island. Looking up to see that the symbiote has captured the other members of the Sinister Six and is about to devour them, Kraven notes that like himself it is a hunter. Realizing Spider-Man has died, Kraven lays his nemesis' body to rest and calls out to the symbiote, intent on succeeding where his would-be prey failed. Approaching the symbiote, Kraven offers himself as its new host, saying that the rest of the world can be their prey before amending his statement to include the other members of the Sinister Six, suggesting they form a pack to hunt together. The symbiote accepts and bonds to them, and the Sinister Six is reborn as the Symbiote Six.
