Venom's life mirrored that of his Earth-616 counterpart up to the point at which the cannibalistic symptoms of the pathogen revealed themselves.
When the Punisher arrived at the church to answer the call for help from the human voice, Venom appeared and, after punching Punisher, tried to get Frank to listen to him, presumably to tell him about the proposal Patient Zero had for him. Venom got shot in the head with a Skrull weapon by the Punisher, killing him. Punisher then remarking it was a shame, as Venom's head would've been a good trophy.
