Eddie Brock was a reporter who, while investigating a scientific lab, came across an alien symbiote. Eddie was caught and all of his electronic equipment was confiscated, making him unable to prove any of his findings. However, after finding that that symbiote was sentient, Eddie became Venom and began tracking down the scientists who stole his stuff.[1] During that time he came across Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider and another Spider-Man who initially assumed Eddie to be a criminal, but later helped him take down the chief scientist Otto Octavius and recover his stuff.[2]
Notes
This version of Eddie Brock was based on his alternate counterpart from the Venom movie. Because of this, he became Venom before ever encountering Peter Parker.
