History
Venom was present during Onslaught's attack on the two universes, fighting with and against the Capcom warriors. He survived this attack, and commented that he wants to continue protecting the innocent, but by crushing the skulls of the guilty and eating their brains.[1]
He later went on to fight with the Capcom warriors again when Abyss attacked both universes. His fate after this is unknown, as he was not present during the third attack, although it seems he abandoned his symbiote within the decade gap and became Anti-Venom, just like his mainstream counterpart.
Eddie Brock rebonded with the Venom symbiote once more at some point, and would resurface as Venom sometime after Ultron Sigma was defeated.[2]Paraphernalia
Weapons
Venom uses his claws, fangs, tongue, and tendrils as weapons.
Notes
- Venom also appears as "Hyper Venom," or "Red Venom," in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. In this form, his speed and strength increases dramatically, at the cost of taking twice as much damage. It is inspired by Carnage and seemingly by Venom: The Madness.
- The symbiote is a light blue in Marvel vs Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, instead of the usual black. Although a dark blue resembling some of Venom's other appearances is available as an alternate color. In Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Venom appears in his traditional black color scheme.
- Capcom stated that the reason Venom wasn't in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was that Marvel wouldn't allow it, which is likely because Eddie Brock was no longer Venom at the time Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was released.
- Eddie Brock appears, as Anti-Venom, as a card in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3's Heroes and Heralds mode.
- Anti-Venom serves as an alternate costume in Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite.
- Venom is one of the characters depicted as a Robot Master for a faux Mega Man game parody ad for Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, published in Issue #18 (1998) of Capcom's Secret File collection. Venom appears as Poison Man.
