History

Eddie Brock was a journalism student.

When Spider-Man, and the Green Goblin were battling at the Oscorp building, the building ended up exploding. In result of the explosion, an army of symbiotes that were being kept prisoner by Osborn ended up getting free. Those Symbiotes started looking for human host, and Eddie was one of those humans. He became the host of Venom, who alongside Cletus Kasady who was bonded with the Carnage symbiote became the leaders of an army of symbiotes wanting revenge on Osborn, and world domination.

After their army of symbiotes were defeated, Venom decided to attack the Academy himself. With Horizon Labs help Spider-Man was able to developed a Sonic Blaster weapon capable of exploiting the symbiotes weakness to sound, he then tried to reason with Eddie who he believed was just a normal guy with the bad luck of being bonded with the symbiote. Venom who had previous disagreements with Carnage about how they should run their operation, got tired of Carnage, and turned against him.

Eddie alongside Venom, joined the Avengers Academy, and with it's help, he was able to communicate with the other symbiotes, and led them to the portals Spider-Man had built to send them back to their homeworld. He also helped in the final battle against Carnage.
