History

Edwin Cord is the CEO of Cordco, Inc., a company originally founded by Anthony Stark's nemesis (an unspecified relative of Edwin's). Edwin was responsible for the funding of the Raiders and the creation of the heavily armored Firepower Armor, both in plots to destroy Iron Man. Another armor developed for the US government, Mauler, was stolen by his disgruntled ex-employee Aaron Soames, but Soames was killed by Cord's security forces while trying to get revenge on Cord.

Edwin Cord would later go on to finance U.S. Agent and the Jury in a failed attempt to apprehend the Thunderbolts.
