Egros (Earth-14412)

After Galactus, who had become the Butcher of Worlds following his merger with All-Black the Necrosword, murdered his grandchildren, Ego engaged him in a vicious fight to avenge their deaths. During the fight, Ego was impaled through the mouth by Galactus, which prompted him to bite the Devourer of Worlds' arm off and bond with All-Black. Becoming the Necroworld, Ego proceeded to devour Galactus.^[1]

Corrupted by All-Black, Ego went on to devour the armadas of the Kree'ar Empire as well as the last of the Celestials and Acanti in existence before being challenged by Loki (in the form of a worm) for the weapon's ownership.^[2] After ninety-nine years of infernal whispers, Ego handed the Necrosword over to Loki in order to make him stop whispering as it was driving him mad.^[3] Loki's first act after bonding to the All-Black symbiote was to destroy Ego as a test of his new power, a vision witnessed by a phantom of his past self.^[4]
